Jonathan D. Wieand, President of Tax Solutions, is a recognized expert in dealing with IRS problems. Since November of 1998, Tax Solutions has saved clients over four million dollars AFTER payment for their professional help.

He has been a tax consultant, business and human resource manager, treasurer of a mid-size manufacturing company and a certified public accountant (CPA) since 1972. Prior to establishing Tax Solutions, he was also the tax partner and managing partner for a three office, four partner, regional CPA firm. Jonathan is a charter member of the prestigious "American Society of IRS Problem Solvers," one of only two members in the state of Indiana, and 300 nationwide. He has rarely had an unresolved case, and today serves hundreds of clients from both the Midwest and across the United States.

Mission Driven, Service-Oriented

Jonathan has always enjoyed tax work and appreciated the challenges of representing clients before the IRS, but his opportunities to do that were few and far between since most of his clients were not in trouble! He began Tax Solutions, P.C. when he became aware of the large number of people who knew they were in deep tax trouble, did not have a CPA, and did not know where to turn.

Now he works mostly with clients who face tax challenges. He enjoys taking the load off his clients' shoulders and standing between them and the IRS or state departments of revenue.

Another day, another successful IRS tax resolution . . .

The most rewarding part of his job is the thanks he gets when the problem is resolved, and clients can finally quit looking over their shoulders . . . waiting for the IRS to call or visit. He is always happy to discuss what he does and how he does it because it helps people get their financial lives back on track.

This service commitment also extends to the Goshen, IN community and beyond, where he is an active Kiwanis member, church member, and tutors at a local elementary school. Previous service activities included roles as La Junta, Colorado's United Fund treasurer, Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Bethany Theological Seminary Board of Trustees, and Colorado Society of CPA Board of Directors.

Family Man, Cub Fan, and Car Enthusiast

Jonathan and his wife, Mary Ann, have three grown children and reside in Goshen, IN. He enjoys biking with friends, snow skiing, collecting autographed baseballs (mainly Chicago Cubs), and working on his restored 1970 VW "bug". He is also a member of the Porsche Club of America's Michiana chapter.

Joe Alcozar, Tax Solutions Associate and enrolled agent*, is a primary contributor to client savings and success.

He was employed for 27 years as a revenue agent with the Internal Revenue Service, prepared individual and corporate income tax returns for four years, and served as a field examiner for the Indiana Department of Revenue for one year. As a Revenue Agent, he examined corporations, partnerships, trusts and individual returns, from small businesses to large corporations.

Joe consistently received annual performance awards for his thorough and successful approach identifying tax problems. "Yo, Hablo Espanol!"

Family Man, Golfer and Movie Buff

Joe and his wife Linda, have two grown children and reside in Granger, IN. He enjoys spending time with his family, yard work, movies, travel and golf.

*Enrolled Agent (EA) - An IRS designation granted based on the individual's demonstrated understanding of income tax rules and regulations either through experience working within the IRS or by passing an examination.  EA's are required to maintain their proficiency by taking 40 hours of continuing education annually (a requirement similar to that required of all CPAs).

Andrew E. Blount, Enrolled Agent*

Andrew has been employed with Tax Solutions P.C. since August of 2003 and has been an Enrolled Agent since April of 2005. In addition to representing clients before the IRS, Andrew also prepares both current and prior year tax returns.

Andrew resides in Goshen, IN. He enjoys camping, canoeing, and other outdoor activities. Andrew is an accomplished French horn player and participates in the local community orchestra.

Kathy J. Glick Miller

Kathy is the administrative assistant at Tax Solutions P.C.

Kathy and her husband, Craig, live in Goshen, IN. She enjoys reading, watching movies, cooking, painting, and doing various arts and crafts projects. She also likes playing volleyball, ultimate frisbee, disc golf, video games, and table games. She is a graduate of Goshen College.
